Collection: Johanna's Collection

This pattern was inspired by Johanna Gengler, the daughter of More Polish pottery owner.  She enjoyed watching Teresa Liana paint at the Polish pottery festival. Before they flew back to the USA, Johanna asked her mom if she could draw a picture that she could give Teresa.  She was 9 1/2 years old when she drew a colored pencil picture that was given to Teresa Liana at the 2017 Ceramic Festival in Boleslawiec, Poland. Teresa told her that day that she loved the design.  Little did Johanna know that Teresa was so inspired by her that she turned that picture into a Polish pottery design!  In 2018, Johanna’s pattern was debuted at the Ceramics Garden in the original stamped colors of the flowers in the field she drew.  In 2019, Johanna went back to Boleslawiec and stamped the pattern alongside Master Designer Teresa Liana at the Polish pottery festival.  These two artists have a deep admiration for each other, and it shows that children can inspire adult artists too!

There are four versions - the green version is the original pattern. Because of the number of stamps and layering details it is a Unikat level 6 design. The white is a simpler (and more affordable version) and is a level 3 Unikat design. There is also a frog version of the green and a blue version.

Johanna earns a small artist commission from More Polish Pottery for every piece that is purchased that goes towards her college education.
