However, did you you know we can help you and your group plan an entire day enjoying our area?

Visit More Polish Pottery at the Christkindel Market Aurora in 2022!  It starts November 18 and runs through December 24th.  We are located at the 2nd entrance right by the pedestrian bridge to enter the market!  Open Thursday - Sunday!
Consider seeing a Broadway Show at the award winning Paramount Theater.  2022-2023 shows include Sound of Music, Into the Woods and School of Rock.
Stop by a local apple orchard and taste test to find your favorite apple cider donut. Cut down your own Christmas Tree at many of these same orchards.
Try out some amazing culinary treats for lunch or dinner in Yorkville, IL!    There is also many coffee shops to choose from.  We can share our favorites!

Places to Stay....
Holiday Inn in Yorkville, IL is a new hotel built in 2020.  It is located only 12 minutes from More Polish Pottery and has local restaurants right outside their doors that are locally owned. 
The Hampton Inn (North Aurora) - Located right off of Route 88, this hotel is also close to the Aurora Historical Museum  and Red Oaks Nature Center. The Hampton Inn also offers free wifi, an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, and a complementary breakfast.

Local Attractions

Big Rock Forest Preserve - Hike in Kane County's Largest Forest Preserve. Horse Trails available. Located in a large quarry, there is a large lake in the former quarry that also allows fishing.  Main entrance is only 2 miles down the road on Jericho Road from More Polish Pottery.  The Forest Preserve neighbors our property. 
Camp at the Big Rock Campground - located within the Forest Preserve.  It is mainly for RV and camper trailers and between $20/$35 a night.  It is located just 5 minutes from More Polish Pottery. Open seasonally April-October.

Honey Hill Orchard - Open Mid-August-October 31st.   Pick your own apples, pumpkins, play in their pumpkin play area or enjoy the apple cider donuts. Located in Waterman IL.
Woody's Orchard - Open Mid-August through Christmas!  They have a great kids area, a kids train.  Choose your pumpkin or your Christmas Tree. In August, they also have a sunflower field where you can take pictures.  Located in Plano, IL
Happy Hen House Gift Shop - Visit another local retail gift shop in Hinckley, IL.  They are open typically Thurs-Sunday Summer-Christmas.  They specialize in home decor with vintage, metal, and barnwood.  It's a cool stop just 5 minutes from More Polish Pottery.
South Moon BBQ - an award winning BBQ restaurant located just 10 minutes from MPP on Rt. 30 in Hinckley, IL.  See what all the fuss is about - as they were featured on Chicago's Best and many other television awards.
Fireside Grille - Bring your friends for a cozy sit down meal after a wonderful visit at More Polish Pottery.  They can accommodate groups too!  Wonderful salads, pastas, burgers and even steaks!  Located in Sugar Grove just 10 minutes from More Polish Pottery or I-88!  It's the perfect stop before or after your visit coming from the suburbs.

Farnsworth House - D
esigned by Mies van der Rohe in 1945 and constructed in 1951, the Farnsworth House is a glass box residence of “almost nothing.” Built for Dr. Edith Farnsworth as a country retreat along the Fox River in Plano, IL. It continued to be a private residence for over 50 years until Landmarks Illinois and the National Trust for Historic Preservation purchased it in 2003. Today it is owned and managed by the Trust and the site is open as a public museum. Located 15 minutes away from our location, in Plano, IL. 

Esther's Place- This unique spot is a fiber shop, bed and breakfast, and a working farm! Visitors can stay in this beautiful location and take classes to learn weaving, spinning, needle felting, knitting and just about anything in between!
