Places to Stay....
Holiday Inn in Yorkville, IL is a new hotel built in 2020.  It is located only 12 minutes from More Polish Pottery and has local restaurants right outside their doors that are locally owned. 
The Hampton Inn (North Aurora) - Located right off of Route 88, this hotel is also close to the Aurora Historical Museum  and Red Oaks Nature Center. The Hampton Inn also offers free wifi, an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, and a complementary breakfast.

Local Attractions

Big Rock Forest Preserve - Hike in Kane County's Largest Forest Preserve. Horse Trails available. Located in a large quarry, there is a large lake in the former quarry that also allows fishing.  Main entrance is only 2 miles down the road on Jericho Road from More Polish Pottery.  The Forest Preserve neighbors our property. 
Camp at the Big Rock Campground - located within the Forest Preserve.  It is mainly for RV and camper trailers and between $20/$35 a night.  It is located just 5 minutes from More Polish Pottery.

Kuiper's Family Farm - Open Mid-August-Christmas.  Pick your own apples, pumpkins, play in their pumpkin play area or enjoy the apple cider donuts. cut your own Christmas tree during the holiday season. This location also is an amazing wedding venue for Spring and Summer weddings.  Kuiper's is family owned and located 15 minutes away from our location, in Maple Park, IL.

Farnsworth House - D
esigned by Mies van der Rohe in 1945 and constructed in 1951, the Farnsworth House is a glass box residence of “almost nothing.” Built for Dr. Edith Farnsworth as a country retreat along the Fox River in Plano, IL. It continued to be a private residence for over 50 years until Landmarks Illinois and the National Trust for Historic Preservation purchased it in 2003. Today it is owned and managed by the Trust and the site is open as a public museum. Located 15 minutes away from our location, in Plano, IL. 

Esther's Place- This unique spot is a fiber shop, bed and breakfast, and a working farm! Visitors can stay in this beautiful location and take classes to learn weaving, spinning, needle felting, knitting and just about anything in between!
